The annual Saveurs du Monde event, organized by the UCCCAB, took place at the Palais de la Bourse on Monday December 5th.
The MAABN was able to be present this year, despite a reduced event imposed by the change of venue due to the ongoing work at the World Trade Centre.
The MAABN’s stand presented a small but interesting selection of British and American food, with the star attraction being a delicious cullen skink prepared by Scottish chef Malcolm Gardner from the Schilling restaurant in the Panier. And the line for our British beer (many thanks to our supplier La Canebière by the way) didn’t decrease in length until most of the guests had left. The Marmite, however, left most people totally perplexed…
Apart form the convivial atmosphere, this was also an opportunity to invite the MAABN’s sponsors to a gala networking event attended by representatives of more than 20 consulates and bilateral trade organizations. From the feedback received at the end of the evening, the discussions were fruitful, with many new international contacts made.
