Euroméditerrannée at the IAU, Aix October 8

Networking evenings in Aix start this year on Thursday October 8 with a presentation of the Euroméditerrannée urban regeneration project by Alexandre Sorrentino at the Institute of American Universities in Aix-en-Provence.

Euroméditérrannée, which is now into its Phase 2, is Southern Europe’s largest urban redevelopment project and has totally transformed the area of Marseille immediately to the north of the Vieux Port. Covering a total of 480 hectares, the project is re-defining the city center with office blocks -including the CMA-CGM Tower- shopping malls, services and housing.

Alexandre SORRENTINO, head of international relations and strategic foresight at Euroméditerrannée, will be outlining the background of this hugely ambitious project and the enormous investment it has attracted and providing unique insights into its future and the impact it will have on the regional economy and international trade.

Numbers will be limited, so please RSVP to

IAU delivers the highest-quality curriculum and guides students, both French majors and non-French majors, to cultural competency while fostering a life-long affinity for the culture, language and people of France.
