Reception with the British Ambassador, April 13

Economic Advantages and Trading Opportunities
between the UK and Marseille Provence

The MAABN, in association with the CCIMP, is organizing a reception in the presence of the British Ambassador to France, Sir Peter Ricketts, on April 13th at the Palais de la Bourse in Marseille.

The Ambassador will be meeting local government representatives, members of the region’s business community and the Club WTC Apex and local exporters. The Ambassador will be accompanied by the UKTI‘s operational head Alasdair Roberts and political attaché at the embassy Alex McKenna, a specialist in conurbations and will be received by the president of the CCIMP, Mr. Jacques Pfister.

A visiting delegation from Pinewood Studios will also be in attendance.

The addresses will focus on the economic advantages each region has to offer (with a joint presentation by the UKTI and Provence Promotion) and on collaborative projects between Marseille Provence the UK in the fields of aeronautics (Airbus) and education (Lycée St. Charles, Kedge Business School…).

Several British companies located in the region and French companies working with the UK will be talking about their experiences as will the local branch of the British Council

The presentations will be followed by a question and answer session.

The evening will end with a cocktail which will provide an opportunity to meet the Ambassador and UKTI officials.
