The “Franco-British Business Awards” were created in 2000 to encourage and promote the bilateral trade and economic links between France and Great Britain by recognising the achievements of companies in both countries. They have been organised for the last five years in partnership with the French Chamber of Commerce in Great Britain and the Franco-British Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

Every year, the cities of London and Paris take turn to host the Awards ceremony. This year, it will take place in Paris on 26th November 2013 under the patronage of the French Ambassador to the United Kingdom and the British Ambassador to France.

The 2013 event will recognise the achievements of British and French companies in four categories:

 SME/Entrepreneur Award

This award is designed for British and French SMEs which export their products and/or services to France or Great Britain and/or which have successfully established one or more subsidiary (ies) in either country for a minimum of 2 years. After completing all relevant sections of the form, if you feel that you would like to add elements supporting your application, please feel free to elaborate on a separate sheet (maximum one A4 sheet).

Award for Innovation/Creation and/or Design

This award is designed for British and French companies working with France or the UK for at least 2 years and which are particularly innovative (proven competence in Research & Development, launch of a revolutionary product or service, leader in a niche market, etc.), Creation and/or Design. After completing all relevant sections of the form, if you feel that you would like to add elements supporting your application, please feel free to elaborate on a separate sheet (maximum one A4 sheet).

 Large Corporate Award

This award is designed for large British and French companies working with France or the UK for at least 2 years and which have a turnover of more than € 200 million and have demonstrated a major contribution to Franco-British business. After completing all relevant sections of the form, if you feel that you would like to add elements supporting your application, please feel free to elaborate on a separate sheet (maximum one A4 sheet).

The Jury’s Special Award

This Award is designed for all members of the French Chamber of Commerce in Great Britain and/or the Franco-British Chamber of Commerce in France who feel that they have contributed significantly to either Chamber. After completing all relevant sections of the form, if you feel that you would like to add elements supporting your application, please feel free to elaborate on a separate sheet (maximum one A4 sheet).

WHO IS ELIGIBLE TO PARTICIPATE?

All companies or organisations which have been active in Anglo-French trade and services for at least two years may take part in the Award Scheme.

The jury will select companies for their enterprise, imagination, technology and business acumen, paying particular attention to new products and services, sustainable development, the creation of employment, environment and social corporate responsibility, staff training, key figures, community relations or Anglo-French partnerships in third markets…
