The MAABN network, strongly anchored in Marseille-Provence, represents an extensive community of active professionals and companies, which includes managers, engineers, teachers and creators of all sorts, with businesses in many different areas of activity. American and British companies are the most significant foreign investors in the region, supporting and creating much employment. Their need for internationally trained graduates and skilled employees proficient in English is high, as is the need in the wider local economy.
School-leavers, be they Anglo-American or French, look to the universities, the Grandes Ecoles or to universities abroad for opportunities to get international experience and language proficiency. Those already employed look to continuing education and language schools to help them acquire the skills they need to be competitive in the job market.
